Steens’ stint in prison had left him torn and ready to run and hide but finding a connection with Erin again…. And the girl who he knew by hearing her voice alone after all these years.  He couldn’t risk telling her the truth and lose the one thread of hope that had kept him alive when the doctors had left little hope.

Wow.  OK I love Stephanies work.  Always have but I am loving this series even more every step of the way.  The Stockton brothers are victims.  Victims that have banded together through their upbringing and the vows they made to never let a woman into their hearts and homes that would give them the chance to repeat the horrors they faced as kids.  Steen had one of the hardest shells of all after being betrayed by a woman and paying with his freedom because of her lies but with a few spoken words he opens up and not only allows someone in, he allows the one girl who he knew deep in his heart would never hurt him.  If only he could promise her the same.

Erin had battled her whole life but in a way that was so far from the life Steen had dealt with it was hard to believe they were both victims of parental abuse.  Fighting to make a career for herself in a field she loved was hard especially when her ex was not only a carbon copy of her father with his neglect but threw his infidelities in her face. Erin held on by a thread to a dream of a man that would always had her back when she needed it the most.  If only he could see that she needed more from him than he was ready to give.

This story was very emotional.  Sexy romps intertwined with two people fighting to grasp on to something neither believes they deserve makes it a hard book to put down but watching as they make decisions that have the potential to break them apart forever tugs at the heart strings.  Believe me.  Their story is one that will have you in tears by the end…. Tears of both heartbreak and joy that you have to read for yourself to fully understand the struggles of holding on to the love of your life despite the consequences.

Sexy and stalwart, and all around good guy, Brooks Bennett had been more than a crush of hers forever but the sinfully delicious bad boy Vance Evans could certainly turn her head if her heart wasn’t already taken. Agreeing to help them both was full of good intent but when the lines get crossed and the summer heat escalates she needs to make a stand and let them both know who owns her heart.

Brooks Bennett, good cop, stand up guy, and Golden Boy of Henderson had major plans of his own. Getting Henderson on the map as one of the best places to live in America was up there along with his plans to run and win the mayoral race next election. Having the right woman by his side was a part of that dream and for as long as he could think Lolly DuVal had been the “right woman”. Taking a leap when he heard she was going to be back in town for not only his sisters engagement party but the summer he made sure he had her on his arm for at least the party if not many more nights during the summer. If Vance had not had his hands on her feet the first time he saw her again things might have been less complicated but of course, the seducer of Henderson, the bad boy himself, was involved and thanks to him Lolly would be part and parcel of both their summers. He needed to step up his game and play by the other book if he hoped to win the heart of the girl who stole his years ago.

Vance Evans was not only the “Bad Cop” he was the epitome of the bad boy! Women were an easy conquest of his but once they were bed he didn’t want anything to do with them. Why couldn’t he just like a woman? He wanted the whole package. He wanted a wife and kids, especially now that he had hit the ripe old age of 30 but he had never been able to like a woman let alone fall in love with one. Lolly was a perfect fit for his plan. Hanging out, playing sports and learning how to appreciate a woman as a friend was just what he needed to get on the right track but when he finds that he wants to cross the line with her and become more than just friends he might lose everything else he cherishes along the way.

My procurement of this book was not totally on the up and up…well that is if the inscription is to be believed. “Shell, thanks for stealing my Good Cop!” To be honest, the book was just sitting there waiting to be claimed and I did qualify to pick it as my prize, I just skipped the line because it was the last one on the table! LOL I am so glad I did! But if you want to send one of these handsome cops after me bring on the cuffs! I loved the sexy and fun banter between Lolly and her guys! Lolly is fun loving, cute and has a smart sassy attitude that I loved! The guys are uuuunnnnnffff! Yummy! Sexy! Fun! And I was honestly back and forth in my dedication between them throughout…. and TBH was really looking forward to a little threesome action! Bennett is just…. well I can’t seem to say, he was awesome, more than awesome! And Vance is… gah! You know… I still am torn. This is why it was such a good book! I know who I wanted to win Lolly’s heart but I to this day continue to waver back and forth! On top of this was the secondary romance of two characters that gave the reader a little more spice since our “Good Cop” was adamant about making things perfect for his love. Yeah. Maybe that’s it! Bennett was perfect! Vance was perfect! OK that didn’t help! Buy this book and help me figure it out! Oh and BTW…. I would totally steal both the Good Cop again….and the Bad Cop too!

When I heard that the new series, Lawmen, was a part of this same world I was hungry to get my hands on the book! Thankfully I wasn’t kept waiting too long and in a day I had fed my appetite with this hot sexy read. Landon is still recouping from an accident that changed his life but is ready to emerge from his self preservation world of too much work and too much alcohol. The tall, sexy and brooding DHS agent gets more than he asks for when Tori runs into his life. Literally! Tori’s world had always been her music and sharing it with the world but after her relationship runs sour she needs to start fresh. Starting over never was supposed to come with threats to not only her life but the lives of everyone who she had ever cared for. Ms. McCray is brilliant as she wraps you up in Tori’s flight for her life and Landon’s re-emergence from his self inflicted exile from the world. This suspenseful romance is a brilliant ride from start to finish with emotional twists and turns that this reader never saw coming as they fought for their lives, their love and their future together.

Hailey Anderson had been in love with her brothers’ best friends forever but she could neither choose between the two or let one or both of them go from her life. Even though she had dreamed of being more than a “kid sister” to them for years she could not stop herself from wanting both men. Mark Allen and Tony Adamo had waited for Hailey while she stumbled in and out of relationships and inevitably came to them each time they fell apart. Waiting forever it seemed for her to step up and make a choice between the two, they had both loved her for far too long to wait any longer. This last breakup only pushed them further especially when the man threatened her. They had had enough and they were going to make her see that she needed to make a decision because two men who loved her were through waiting. They couldn’t chose and if she didn’t well then they would just share.

The problem is they had neither Tony nor Mark had any idea it was going to truly be a threesome relationship. Shocking both of them as much as they had ever been with the level of intimacy between themselves when they found pleasure in her bed. Daniel, her ex, isn’t finished though and his attacks are escalating but with bringing the cops in on it there are some questions that need to be answered. When they are forced to extremes to protect themselves they must find a way to deal with the aftermath, face the truth of their relationship and re-evaluate the connection that they share.

This book brought the heat. I was totally wrapped up in this story and screaming for more! I loved their intimacy, feeling the emotion as they explored their feelings for each other and struggled to make sense out of their hearts craving for a more permanent connection between the three that they had never entertained before. I wanted more of the Mark and Tony explorations but my one disappointment was that I was left hanging in that department with only a taste to whet my appetite instead of a grand buffet of M/M/F intimacies. If you want to explore this genre a little further and are just testing the waters it is a delicious choice for biting into a ménage for the first time and one that kept an open to anything reader like me captivated as well.

This was another emotional read. Claire’s unexpected pregnancy was revealed in one of the most hilarious methods I have ever read but the upheaval of their lives once the cat was out of the bag was pure romance! I loved how they both opened up their insecurities and scars from the past and let themselves heal thanks to the love that bloomed and grew between them. The blossoming of their love was fodder for a great read as they worked backwards from pregnancy to a wedding proposal to falling in love. Quite an exceptional read that brightened a gloomy stormy summer day.

Caleb Steele had no qualms shooting Jude in the back. Well in the game anyway. Truthfully hurting her before had been the one regret he still carried with him to this day. But being close to her again and now back in New Zealand, after playing rugby in England, he missed teasing his sweet babycakes. No, she could have been his, but he knew hurting her that morning after they had been together was the best thing to do for them both. Getting her to shoot the charity calendar was not an easy task but somehow even with their history she said yes but on her terms. Terms that both of them had a hard time accepting.
Rugby players! Yummmmmm. There are not enough books with sexy hunky rugby players so when given a chance to review this one I was prepared to tackle whoever I needed to in order to get my hands on it. For fans of romance who are not ‘sportys’ no worries. There is not a lot of technical sports jargon within. (For me I wish that there had been more!) Jude has been hurt by this man before. Although she doesn’t come out and say it I think that he is the only man she let get close enough to her to cause pain or to even touch her. Caleb has his reasons for the pushme-pullyou connection with Jude but it is when he pushes her aside and her subsequent pleas for clarity that this story totally broke me down to a blubbering idiot. I admit I do not always pick up a contemporary read as my first choice but I was more than pleased with this book. Well done!
